Chris & Tom Brockmeyer
Before retirement we actively sought an activity which we could enjoy together. Chris came from a background in the arts (visual and musical) while Tom’s background was in the scientific (medical) field. Wildlife photography combined elements which complemented our interests and strengths, where each of us contributed to the work of the other. It has been a joyful and intellectually challenging collaboration. We hope that these images give a sense of the depth of exploration and the fulfillment that brings as we have pursued our photographic goals. Most importantly, we have become passionate about preserving the remaining wildness of our rapidly shrinking natural spaces and the animals which inhabit them.
Along our journey we have been taught the skills of photography and fieldcraft by Cindy Goeddel, Russ Burden and Benjamin Clock. Encouragement and influence (and lots of laughs) have come from our fellow photographic travelers (all Nikonians!) Raj Gopaldas, Sandy Snead, Ginny Sussman and Barry Weibel. This website has come to fruition under the generous and insightful tutelage of Erin Petree. Our lives have been enriched by all of these friends.
